My Therapeutic Approach

RELATIONAL

Often, the issues or hurts we seek to heal took place in the context of a relationship.

Our therapeutic relationship will serve as a way to explore these patterns and adaptations to support you in fostering the connection with yourself and the connection you desire with others.

Growth occurs when we feel supported, safe, and affirmed to step outside of our comfort zone. I will provide unconditional positive regard and safety so you can experience growth. I welcome you to bring all aspects of your life and humanness into therapy.

EMOTIONALLY-FOCUSED

Many of the people who come to me are constantly tending to the people and things around them. They may have become less attuned to their own needs and desires. 

Our sessions will support you in learning to attune and be with emotions, experiences, and the felt sense that arise as you move through life. We can learn how to be with the emotions and body sensations in a gentle and kind way.

When we learn how to be with ourselves, we can get a lot of clarity around what we need, want, and desire.

INCLUSIVE

I strive to create a space that is inclusive and welcoming for all people. My job is to meet you where you are at, and work with what you bring into session. All of you is welcome in the therapeutic space. All backgrounds, races, religions, genders, sexualities are welcome in this space.
